I've played with several members (friends of friends/guildies) and I also know that people speak with high regards of the alliance. For me a PvE guild/alliance could never be the 'best guild in history', since PvE guilds can have very different objectives and be good at that. PvP.... Don't know a lot about the early days, to be honest. Some names pop in my mind, others mentioned them already. But I can't tell which one would be the best |

*blush* thanks again
And Yes I agree with you, PvE guilds have such a wide variety of aims, culture and everything else in between there is no such thing as 'best' Best is where you are happiest and have the most fun at I guess. Onto the PvP perspective. It might be fun if we ever had a GvG 'all stars' tournament where the top 5 guilds from each year had a tournament. I know some would be disadvantaged due to time away, but it's a fun idea to think about. |

I remember playing against QQ when they were in their prime, and seeing how their play and positioning seemed flawless. Just by virtue of position and pressure, they were practically invulnerable. They were incredibly good.
Old iQ, also, was pretty amazing. But EvIL just didn't lose, not at all. Even WM lost sometimes. EvIL was definitely the best ever, for a short while untouchable. Imo, the best around today is DF. Skilled and relentless. |

If I remeber right a guild called sissy boys was a one of the top guilds as well, I know they beat war machine once, I think they might have beat iQ as well. Anyhow I believe that guild is gone, if im not mistaken.

PvP: WM and EviL, no doubt

Kinda OT, but I refuse to run Ursanway, but i'm not such a control freak as to ban it's use. I just discourage it. The vast majority of players in DVDF run balanced and are pretty darned good, the FoW clear we did in 1hr 1 min was by a pure balanced team for example. BTW Phear, if I remember rightly a character called Phear me you Foo helped the 12 or so people develop yellow way, was that you? --- Anyway, I still go with WM and EVIL as the top GvG guilds of all time. Their movement, and tactical ability was immense. HA guilds are difficult to measure, the ones I remember holding for ages and ages were Marvel superheroes, Sissy boys, Power of my rangers and MATHS. Sir covesman also won loads of times, and was always good for a Euro favor win or so. Last edited by Shanaeri Rynale; Jan 23, 2008 at 07:35 PM // 19:35.. |

Since Ladder Reset: None. It's been fair game, no guilds have dominated without dropping out of it. The old guilds retired while they were still good, but the new guilds have not actually retired, they played good, then played bad. |

Then again, I agree that EvIL would pull that sinsplit BS that I see, and thus I wouldn't have any respect. Te and PnH though. They were always nice, solid, and consistent. |

My all time top 5:
Evil, WM, iQ, EW, eF Honorable mentions: Te, Rift, cow, QQ, MH, IVEX, Sissy Boys, EP, DF, Rawr, Reno, PnH, KGYU, ZPZG, Spnv, and VD. Those were guilds I thought were at the top of the game and/or legit championship contenders. A lot of my best memories were watching or playing with/against these guys. Other guilds were good too, but these were the ones I feared. |
